The Robot's precision makes all the difference in saving a patient's life.

Al-Salamah Hospital in Jeddah successfully performed a delicate and complex robotic surgery to save a patient's life.

A medical team at Al-Salamah Hospital in Jeddah successfully saved the life of a patient suffering from a critical condition. She was diagnosed with a large liver abscess caused by a foreign object that had penetrated her stomach wall and lodged deep within her liver.

Professor Murad Al-Jafri, a consultant in gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreas surgery, explained that the foreign object was shaped like a fish spine. It had penetrated the stomach and reached the middle of the liver, forming a dangerous abscess.

Prior to surgery, the patient underwent thorough examinations, including radiological imaging and laboratory tests, which revealed the location of the foreign object and the size of the abscess. This information helped the medical team make the appropriate decision regarding surgical intervention.

In an emergency surgical procedure using advanced robotic surgery technology, the medical team successfully removed the affected portion of the liver and the foreign object.

The medical team expressed their gratitude for the support and advanced capabilities provided by the hospital, which, with God's grace, contributed to the success of the operation. The patient made a full recovery and was discharged from the hospital just two days later.
