By the end of this course, participants will be able to apply adult learning principles and Bloom’s Taxonomy to design effective learning activities. They will plan and develop structured educational sessions, provide constructive feedback, and address delivery barriers. Additionally, participants will analyze Miller’s Pyramid and the CanMEDS framework to design assessments and enhance medical education.
Learning Objectives:
– To formulate effective learning objectives and apply them in designing relevant training activities.
– To evaluate various teaching and training methods and select the most suitable strategy for a given learning context.
– To explain the key characteristics of effective feedback and identify barriers that prevent preceptors from delivering constructive feedback.
– To align appropriate teaching methods and assessment tools with Clinical Competency Roles, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
– To analyze the principles of assessment and choose valid and reliable assessment tools suitable for specific teaching/training sessions.
